Purging. Present-absent. Swift. Quicker. Tender. Oppressed. Alone. Glad. Sad. This is what caught my attention when I first read Shakespeare’s Sonnet 45. Before I knew what the pages would look like, I was struck by how restless the poem felt. It was rough living with the heart.
